I picked up a book by Lin Wellford and before I knew it I was creating some wonderful art. It's pretty easy and a great family activity! I hope you can be inspired by some of the rocks I've painted.
Have you ever gazed up at the sky and tried to see what the shapes of the clouds look like? Well, try rock hunting and use your imagination to see what creatures you could transform a rock into after you get a little paint and a brush. You can start simple by painting a ladybug, which is attractive placed near a planter. Basically you can paint anything you wish on a rock that you can draw on it. It's just more fun if the rock actually contours to the subject being painted.
